Privacy & Cookies Policy

This notice describes the privacy controls and third-party services used by PakTV Ghar, an independent directory of Pakistani TV programmes, news and YouTube videos. The website is published through GitHub Pages.
Who operates the site?
PakTV Ghar is maintained by the owner of the GitHub repository digitaleye2k-lang/PakTV-Ghar. For general questions, contact the operator using the contact details available on the operator's GitHub profile or a non-sensitive GitHub issue. GitHub issues are public; please do not post names, addresses, identification documents or other personal details there.
What information is stored?

Your choices
The first time you open the main website, you are offered Accept all, Reject optional and Choose settings. The three optional categories are:
- Display advertising: banner and native ads from the Adsterra advertising network.
- Additional advertising script: a separate advertising placement that may create additional promotions or advertising windows.
- Google AdSense advertising: optional Google Auto ads from Google and its advertising partners, with their own cookies, identifiers and measurement technology. This is separate from Adsterra.
These options are off unless you positively opt in. You can continue using the directory without agreeing to any of them. The website honours a browser Global Privacy Control signal by not loading optional advertising while it is enabled.
Change or withdraw consent: open PakTV Ghar and select Cookie settings in the footer. Rejecting optional advertising removes active ad frames and reloads the page. It prevents new ad scripts from being requested, but it cannot by itself delete cookies that third parties already placed; you may also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings.
Advertising partners
The optional Google AdSense script loads from pagead2.googlesyndication.com using publisher account ca-pub-7935805760564580, only after Google advertising consent in the website settings. A static publisher verification meta tag does not load advertising. Google and its partners may use their own advertising cookies and user data processing practices. You can read the Google Privacy Policy for more information.
AdSense compliance step: For personalised AdSense ads shown to visitors in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, Google requires a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. PakTV Ghar’s custom cookie choices are not themselves a certified CMP. The operator must complete an approved consent setup, including Google’s Privacy & messaging options, before relying on personalised ad serving in those regions.
The opt-in ad integrations use scripts from profitableratecpmnetwork.com and highrevenueformat.com supplied as Adsterra ad placements. When you enable display advertising, the 468×60 banner loads in a dedicated ad document and the native advertising script runs in the website page. When you separately enable the additional advertising script, it can also run in the website page and may display promotions, pop-ups or additional windows. These scripts may use cookies and collect technical identifiers or usage data. They are not sandboxed, because earlier isolation prevented the advertising formats from working reliably. We do not control the content of ads or guarantee their safety. Do not provide personal or payment details to an unfamiliar advertiser.
Important: The operator should review the ad provider's current cookie inventory, retention periods, international transfers, privacy terms and any consent-platform requirements before relying on this integration in production. We cannot independently certify the third-party scripts or all cookies they may set.
Community discussions and visitor analytics
The Community section includes a prepared visitor dashboard, show chat and contact/report/moderator forms. These features will not store or publish submitted information until the Supabase database has been configured. The setup status is shown on the community page. Once enabled, chat guests receive a pseudonymous account token to enforce posting limits and support review of abuse reports. Chat messages and chosen nicknames are public, but email addresses from private forms are not.
Volunteer moderators may review reported public chat messages and hide abusive material. Only verified site owner accounts can review the private contact/report/application inbox. Automated filters use a list of blocked abusive terms, basic personal-information checks and rate limits; they are imperfect. Avoid sharing your legal name, phone number, email address, location or other personal information in public chat. Staff sign-in may use email-based authentication.
Visitor country statistics are collected only after an individual clicks “Count my visit”. The optional server process temporarily reads connection IP and browser information to calculate a daily hash, with aggregated country counts. It does not expose raw IP addresses to other visitors. When enabled by the operator, ipwho.is may receive the IP address for approximate geolocation. Community data is stored by Supabase and may be processed according to its hosting region and policies. Browser access to aggregate statistics alone does not count a visitor.
Public chat and guest tokens may remain until removed by the operator or under a configured data-retention policy; private submissions are stored until reviewed and deleted by the operator. Daily visitor-token digests should be deleted after a short retention period, while anonymised aggregate totals may be retained for long-term trends. Please contact the operator for deletion requests or data-rights enquiries. The final retention settings will be documented when the community backend is enabled.
Other third parties
- GitHub Pages: hosts this website and may process connection information, including IP addresses, as part of delivering site files.
- YouTube / Google: publishes video embeds and thumbnails. Clicking to play a video may transmit information to those services. Browsers may also request images or Google Fonts while browsing.
- Official broadcasters: external links lead to HUM TV, ARY Digital, Har Pal Geo and other third-party websites, which have their own policies.
We do not host the videos themselves. Main-site preferences are stored locally; if the Community backend is enabled, Supabase processes pseudonymous guest sessions and user-submitted content separately. Third-party hosting, advertising and video providers have their own privacy practices.
Retention, rights and contact
Local preferences stay on your device until you remove them; the cookie-choice record is refreshed after about 180 days. Other providers control their own retention practices. You can clear local storage or cookies using your browser settings. Depending on your location, you may have data-protection rights, including access, correction, deletion, objection and the right to withdraw consent. For concerns about third-party data, contact the relevant provider as well as the operator where appropriate.
If you are in the UK and have unresolved data-protection concerns, you may contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
We may update this policy when the site's services or providers change. A material change to optional advertising purposes will require new consent.
